After Linfield’s success in the Irish Cup against Larne, the top three sides in the Danske Bank Premiership are now guaranteed European football for next season.

Coleraine currently sit in second spot in the league standings, but they can’t finish below third due to Glentoran and Larne facing each other on Tuesday night.

It marks a fourth season out of five that Coleraine will feature in European competitions.

Commenting on social media, Coleraine boss Oran Kearney tweeted: “Europe confirmed with two games to go. Particularly with the nature of the this season, hanging onto the full time teams and the volume of games, it’s been a monster of an effort from everyone associated with Coleraine FC.

“The players are a credit to the club.”
