COLERAINE FC can confirm that Alexander Gawne has completed a loan move to Carrick Rangers…

It marks a third loan switch for the attacker to the Amber Army after spending the end of the 2019/20 season at the Belfast Loughshore Hotel Arena, as well as the total duration of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Coleraine native has made 33 appearances for the Bannsiders and scored five goals in the process.

Coleraine boss Oran Kearney believes the switch suits all parties.

“Last season was probably a frustrating one for Alex as he suffered a few injuries,” he said.

“However, this move will definitely allow him to get more game time and experience.

“We will be keeping an eye on Alex’s development.”
