The striker – who can also operate in central midfield – will officially join the club on January 1, 2020, after a string of impressive performances at Belfast Celtic.

Kearney admits he has been regularly alerted to Matthew’s performances for the west Belfast side and believes his versatility will prove to be an asset moving forward.

The boss also confirmed that Fitzpatrick will train with the first-team squad on a few occasions prior to the switch being completed in the New Year.
