Official Coleraine Podcast: S2 E3

THE weeks just keep flying by and who better to have on the show than speedster Stephen Dooley?

The 29-year-old was this week’s special guest on the Official Coleraine Podcast which is hosted by Coleraine Chronicle Sports Editor, Damian Mullan, with regular panellist Jonathan McNabb also offering his insight.

Dooley – who made 89 appearances for the club across three spells – discusses his quick transition through the ranks to the first-team squad at The Showgrounds, his move to America and playing for Derry City, Cork City and Rochdale.

The Portstewart man spoke about his return to Coleraine as the Bannsiders clinched the Irish Cup, as well as offering his advice to Patrick Kelly who has recently made his league debut at the age of 16.

The former Loreto College pupil chatted about playing at Old Trafford and St James’ Park in cup competitions but believes he hasn’t deserved a call-up to either the Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland set-up.
