OK praises mindset in Glens comeback

ORAN Kearney heaped praise on his players for “sticking to their guns” in their win against Glentoran last night…

The Bannsiders had trailed after James Singleton’s opener on 24 minutes but mounted an impressive late comeback as Matthew Shevlin and Conor McKendry netted in a devasting three minute spell.

Kearney believes the performance was up there with the best his side have produced all season and was delighted to send a good travelling support home happy.

With Shevlin and McKendry’s goals coming straight after the other, Kearney acknowledged the importance of “striking when hot” and gave a special mention to Lee Harkin after the attacker made an impact after coming off the bench.
