Set-piece goals ‘frustrating’ – OK

ORAN Kearney was left ‘frustrated’ by the manner of the Bannsiders’ defeat to Linfield last night…

After the game was poised for more than an hour, the Blues would score two quick-fire goals from corner-kicks as Euan East and Rhys Annett both converted.

Kearney remarked his frustrations at those two goals and that he wished his team had more time on the clock after Andy Mitchell pulled one back on 86 minutes.

With rail and bus strikes ongoing, Kearney heaped praise on the travelling support who made their way to Windsor Park just three days before Christmas.

Kearney confirmed that his squad will train on Christmas Eve ahead of the Boxing Day clash against Ballymena United.
