Coleraine secured their place in the final of the Bet McLean League Cup last night.

They swept aside Warrenpoint Town in emphatic fashion as Matthew Shevlin (3), Conor McKendry, James McLaughlin and Jamie Glackin netted in the 6-1 victory.

But remarkably it wasn’t the club’s best semi final victory in a major competition!

That came in the Irish Cup back in 1975 when the Bannsiders put six past Brantwood without reply.

There has also been some big semi final scorelines in the North West Cup; Coleraine beat Drummond 8-4 in 1996, Institute fell victim to a 6-2 defeat in 2006 and in 2011 Coleraine crushed Tobermore United 8-2.
