Signing

Davidson Signs

COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce the signing of winger Dylan Davidson from Glentoran…

The 19-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal and joins Jamie Glackin, Ben Doherty, Mark Edgar and Cormac Burke in making the switch to the Bannsiders during the January transfer window.

Davidson joined the Glens after a spell with Preston North End and scored five goals in 56 appearances during his time at The Oval.

The Bannsiders submitted the necessary paperwork before today’s deadline, meaning that Davidson will be available for tomorrow night’s clash against Ards.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Rodney McAree believes that Davidson has a ‘bright future’ in the game.

“Dylan has a great left foot, is very quick and direct,” he said.

“He has a great delivery and will provide us with natural width on the left hand side.

“Dylan is only 19 so he has a bright future ahead of him and one that we are looking forward to develop.

“It’s great to have Dylan on board and see what he has to offer.”

The Club can confirm that Davidson will wear the number 36 shirt but will be ineligible in this year’s Irish Cup.
