Signing

Wing Play

COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce the signing of Cormac Burke on a two-and-a-half year contract…

The winger joins from Dungannon Swifts and goes straight into the matchday panel for Friday night’s trip to Ards.

The 25-year-old will team up again with manager Rodney McAree after working together at Stangmore Park, with Burke also on the books of Ipswich Town, Derry City and Institute.

The Derry/Londonderry native scored in last season’s League Cup final success against Ballymena United and has represented Northern Ireland at under-17 and under-19 levels.

Speaking after making his fourth signing since taking charge, McAree believes Burke has all the qualities to succeed at The Showgrounds.

“I’m over the moon to have Cormac on board,” he said.

“Cormac has plenty of ability and needed a new challenge to kick start his career.

“I have no doubt that he will fit in well with the rest of the changing room and I’m looking forward to working with him again.”

The Club can confirm that Burke will wear the number 30 shirt but will be ineligible in this year’s Irish Cup.
