Bannsiders bid to bounce back

COLERAINE will hope to put the disappointment of dropping points against Portadown on Saturday behind them when they take on Glenavon on Tuesday…

It’s another quick turnaround as the Bannsiders begin a five game run of away fixtures with their second trip of the season to Mourneview Park.

After consecutive home draws with Cliftonville and the Ports, another tough test lies in store.

It was honours even last time out in a thrilling 4-4 draw.

But manager Oran Kearney is hoping his side can make a return to winning ways, although he appreciates another hard battle awaits.

“Gary (Hamilton) will have them well organised,” said Oran.

“It’s always a tough game at Mourneview Park and you have to be at your best to earn a result.

“A couple of lapses have cost us points recently but it’s up to us to go out there and start winning again.”

Coleraine led twice during that 4-4 draw but also played for long spells with ten men.

“That was a tough game. We went down to ten men early on (Gareth McConaghie was dismissed),” recalled Oran.

With injuries mounting amidst this challenging schedule, expect changes once again to the line up in Lurgan.
