COLERAINE FC can confirm that Alexander Gawne has re-joined Carrick Rangers on loan…

The attacker – who joined the Amber Army on loan at the end of the January transfer window – will now spend the duration of the 2020/21 campaign at the Belfast Loughshore Hotel Arena and will hope to add to his five appearances for Niall Currie’s side.

The Coleraine native has made 33 appearances for the Bannsiders and scored five goals in the process.

Coleraine boss Oran Kearney believes the deal suits all parties.

“This loan will give Alex invaluable match time and experience,” he said.

“The move in January was looking to be productive as he was getting minutes but then COVID hit and brought that to an end.

“Carrick were keen to have him back, he was keen to go and we were keen to let him get more experience, so it suits all parties.”
